Rev. Ferreol Girardey, C.SS.R.

Rev. Ferreol Girardey, C.SS.R. (1847–1926), was a French Redemptorist priest and theologian known for his spiritual writings, catechetical work, and pastoral mission. A member of the Congregation of the Most Holy Redeemer (Redemptorists), he dedicated his life to preaching, teaching, and spreading devotion to the Redeemer, Jesus Christ, in line with the Redemptorist charism.

Fr. Girardey is particularly remembered for his catechetical and spiritual works, which sought to deepen the faith of the Catholic laity. He wrote numerous books and articles, focusing on Catholic doctrine, spiritual formation, and the importance of devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary.
