Very Rev. Alexis M. Lepicier, O.S.M.

The Very Rev. Alexis M. Lepicier, O.S.M. (1863โ€“1936), was an eminent Servite priest, theologian, and writer, known for his contributions to Mariology, theology, and his leadership within the Servite Order. Born in France, he joined the Order of the Servants of Mary (Servites) and became a prominent figure in the Church through his scholarly works and pastoral dedication.

Fr. Lepicier wrote extensively on theological and devotional tags, with a particular focus on the Blessed Virgin Mary. His most famous work, The Mother of God and Her Glorious Feasts, remains a treasured resource in Marian theology, offering profound insights into the role and privileges of Mary in salvation history. He emphasized her role as the Mediatrix of All Graces and as a model of holiness for all Christians.

He also served as the Superior General of the Servite Order, guiding it with wisdom and zeal, and promoting its charism of devotion to the Seven Sorrows of Mary. During his tenure, he worked to strengthen the orderโ€™s missionary activities and increase devotion to the Blessed Virgin.
