Rev. Felix Sarda y Salvany

Dr. Don Félix Sardá y Salvany (1844–1916) was a Spanish priest, theologian, and ardent defender of Catholic social teaching. He is best known for his influential work El Liberalismo es Pecado (Liberalism is a Sin), which was a scathing critique of liberalism, particularly in the context of its growing influence during the 19th century. His writings emphasized the incompatibility between the Catholic faith and liberal political ideologies, which are harmful to both the Church and society.

A prominent figure in the Spanish Catholic revival, Dr. Sardá y Salvany was a staunch advocate for the restoration of Christian principles in public life and for a more active role of the Church in social and political matters. His intellectual and theological contributions were highly regarded in his time, and his views on the relationship between Church and state had a lasting impact on Catholic thought, particularly in Spain and Latin America.

Throughout his life, Dr. Sardá y Salvany maintained a commitment to the defence of Traditional Catholic teachings, both in academic circles and through pastoral work, leaving behind a legacy of profound influence on Catholic social doctrine.
