Our Lord Jesus Christ solemnly declared, “Unless you believe, you shall be condemned.” Yet, what are we to believe? And what exactly is faith? Outside the Catholic Church, faith is often misunderstood as a vague or uncertain feeling about God or Christ. This book dispels such confusion and reveals where and how true, divine faith is to be found.

Just as the natural sciences require qualified teachers, so too does the sacred science of religion. Governments forbid the unqualified to practice medicine or law for the safety of society; how much greater is the peril when unauthorized teachers tamper with the truths that concern eternal salvation?

This “truth that will set us free” (John 8:32) is not a human invention but a supernatural knowledge revealed by God. We know that Christ, the Incarnate Word, entrusted this revelation to His Apostles and their successors, saying: “He that hears you, hears Me.” That authority remains with the Catholic Church alone—the one body commissioned to teach without error. In an age of uncertainty and divided opinions, this book invites every sincere soul to seek the truth where God placed it: in His Church, “the pillar and foundation of the truth” (1 Tim. 3:15).
