St. Eusebius of Rome
St. Eusebius was imprisoned for seven months in his room by order of the emperor. He sanctified this time by constant prayer.
Come to Me, all you that labor and are burdened and I will refresh you. Take up My yoke upon you, and learn of Me, because I am meek and humble of heart. — Gospel
The Imitation of Christ
Oh, how great and honorable is the office of the priests, whom it is given to consecrate with sacred words the Lord of Majesty, to bless Him with their lips, to hold Him with their hands, to receive Him with their mouths, and to administer Him to others.
St. Eusebius was confined to the same room for seven months. Instead of complaining and making life miserable for himself and for others, he made the most of the time to commune with God In prayer and to prepare for death.
Be optimistic today and don’t complain. Bring some form of cheer to someone today.
Every cloud has a silver lining; turn the dark clouds inside out.
