And so the desires of some are on fire after heavenly things, and yet they are not free from temptation of carnal affection.
This king of Hungary put his kingdom under the protection of our Lady. He was a most successful king, never lost a war, but never neglected a duty either.
You need not be a king to fight successful wars, nor use a sword to slay your enemies. Control your selfish impulses and learn to interpret “Safety First” in terms of the other fellow’s interest, too.
