    Inside a Carmelite Convent, 1959

I've seen this video many times and it's one of my favorites. How sincere and pious all the sisters were. I believe the monastery was closed at some point and I often wonder what became of the young novice. She was so dear and thrilled at the thought that she would spend the rest of her life...

Solemn Profession Ceremony — Carmelite Nuns of the Holy Face

I also want to say congratulations to her family! Sr. Anne Marie is certainly a blessing to all those who know her and love her, and to all of us who pray for her for her steadfastness and fidelity. May she pray for us, too.

Carmelites of the Holy Face, Newsletters

A very inspiring newsletter. I especially appreciated our Carmelites reiteration of the Mass as a Sacrifice, NOT a communal meal! So good to hear of all the progress as well with the Hermitage. I especially am praying for more vocations! Thank you, Mother Irene and Sr. Anne Marie!

Carmelite Nuns defend the Holy Mass of All Times & Defy the New World Order

Very well done, Sisters. Thank you so much for putting it simply and succinctly the differences between the Mass of All Ages and the Novus Ordo protestant mass. I hope you can do more videos for us covering all kinds of topics like this. We need good Catholic teaching!

Comment by 'ReginaClareJane' in article 'What is the Traditional Latin Mass and Why Should One Attend it?'

As one who grew up in the post-conciliar era and watched as my mother and father struggled with the changes in the Church, it grieves me to think how many were left bereft of the only Mass they had ever known. My mother was a convert from Lutheranism and I know that she was never comfortable...

Review by 'ReginaClareJane' in article 'What is the Traditional Latin Mass and Why Should One Attend it?'

I appreciate this article as it succinctly puts into words the main difference(s) between the Mass of all Ages and the post-conciliar "Mass". My mother, a convert from Lutheranism, was heartbroken over the changes in the church. I look forward to more articles in the future.

Carmelites of the Holy Face, Newsletters

I so appreciate Mother's writing about Purgatory. So beautifully written! We don't hear enough about it these days, not even from the pulpit. But how wonderful to think of God's mercy and to realize that these souls we pray for will someday pray for us when they reach Heaven! I pity those who do...

St. John of the Cross for Beginners: A Commentary on the Ascent of Mount Carmel and the Dark Night of the Soul (pdf attached)

Thank you so much for posting these, Prof. Scott. I am looking forward to reading this as I have always felt somewhat intimidated when reading St. John of the Cross.

    Forum Incidents

I appreciate you dealing with this matter so prudently, Samuel. I found his posts to be a great distraction from the generally spiritual direction of this forum.

I quite agree with you that the many imperfections of His friends wound the Sacred Heart of Jesus more deeply than do the grave faults of His enemies. But, my dear brother, it seems to me that it is only when these failings spring forth from habit, and are not regretted, that He can say: "What...
