Dear Faithful,
I just cancelled a trip to Melbourne for tomorrow. My fear was that I would have to isolate, which would make the trip pointless. We are in the most absurd lock down. One person tested positive for the new "more to be feared" strain of corona virus. She is not sick and has no symptoms. 2,500,000 people, including Fr. Pio and I, go into lock down because of this probably false test.
Nevertheless God is in charge and no evil happens without His permission, And it is certain that He only permits evil that He might bring a greater good out of it. It is still annoying to those who suffer the evil.
Attached is a report [see this link] from Fr. Pierre Celestin Ndong, our African resistance priest based in Gabon with missions in Nigeria, Uganda and Kenya. Also a sermon from myself for Epiphany.
God bless,

Sermon for Epiphany
Epiphany means to make known, especially to make God known. Three manifestations of God are celebrated today. The Three Kings coming to adore Our Lord in Bethlehem; His Baptism by St. John the Baptist when the Holy Ghost came upon Him in the shape of a dove and the Father said: ‘This is my beloved Son in whom I am well pleased.’ And His first miracle at Cana when He turned water into wine.
The Baptism of the Lord is celebrated particularly on the Octave Day of the Epiphany, January 13th. The Miracle at Cana is celebrated on the 2nd Sunday after Epiphany. Today we celebrate the coming of the Kings.
Those in the East did not know the true God. Only the Israelites had been chosen by God to preserve knowledge of the true God. Others knew some prophecies and perhaps had prophecies of their own. What is certain is that when these Kings saw this special star they knew its significance. They came to adore the new born King of kings. The star calling them to Bethlehem indicates the calling of the Gentiles to the true Faith. They would be the first Gentiles to adore the true God. Our Lord would give to His Church the mission to call all nations to the True Faith and give all men the possibility of salvation. No more would the true Faith be for only one race. Now it would be catholic, that is, for all nations and peoples. This is a great joy to add to the Christmas Joy of the Birth of Jesus. Now the whole world is invited to come and adore Him. Peoples from far and near and all the points of the compass are called to know, love, and serve the Living and True God. In the persons of these Kings they did exactly that.
The Kings find Jesus with Mary His Mother. That is the only place He can be found. By an eternal decree of the Father, Jesus came into the world through Mary His Mother. The Father waited for her fiat before the Holy Ghost overshadowed her and the Incarnation took place. By the choice of the Lord God Mary’s response to Archangel Gabriel “Be it done to me according to thy word” was absolutely necessary for the Incarnation. Now the Kings find Jesus with His Mother. Jew or Gentile all must go to Mary to find Jesus. Those who refuse Mary will never know Jesus. They will never learn how to love and serve Him. They make their salvation impossible.
Today many Catholics are deprived of the physical presence of Our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament. We must go to Mary and ask her: Mother Mary as you showed Jesus to those wise men, bring Him to me. I cannot go to Bethlehem but the Church has been promised that He will be everywhere. The Prophet Malachi told us: ‘For from the rising of the sun even to the going down, my name is great among the Gentiles, and in every place there is sacrifice, and there is offered to my name a clean oblation: for my name is great among the Gentiles, saith the Lord of hosts.’ These Kings had to make a long journey to adore Christ the King. For us He is supposed to be everywhere. He promised to abide with us. Only His Mother the Virgin Mary can bring Him to us. We must go to her with confidence and ask her for this great grace. That this treasure which was unjustly taken from us will be restored to us. That we may have Our Lord really, truly and substantially present with us. That this clean oblation, the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, may again be offered everywhere.
The Kings brought gifts to the King of kings. Gold to acknowledge that He was a King. Frankincense to acknowledge that He is God, and also the Eternal High Priest. Myrrh for His death and burial.
Our Lord Jesus Christ is King
Our Lord is born a King. He is King by nature because He is the Lord and Creator of all things. Everything in existence depends upon Him. He also will conquer the kingdom. The serpent brought lies, sin and destruction into the world. Adam by accepting to disobey God brought death, violence and evil of every sort into the world. The ultimate cause of the evils associated with Corona Virus is Original Sin. Satan by deceiving Eve and leading Adam to sin brought the world into the slavery of sin. Thus, even Our Lord had to call him Prince of this World. Where Satan is prince there is necessarily misfortunes of every type, anger, hatred, slavery and injustices. By dying on the Cross Our Lord paid the debt for sin and brought into the world the forgiveness of sins. This is a marvellous gift and brings about the defeat of Satan. All those who have their sins forgiven share in the victory of Our Lord over Satan. They are no longer his slaves but have joined the victors valiant. We are the children of Saints and need not fear Satan nor his ministers. Jesus Christ conquered His Kingdom on the Cross. The Kingdom of Christ on earth is the Holy Catholic Church. All men are called to be His subjects by Faith and Baptism.
Our Lord has merited a superabundance of grace, more than enough to forgive each and every sin committed from the beginning of the world to its end. However as we read every day at Mass in the Last Gospel “He came unto His own and His own received Him not.” The Israelites did not want to submit to His rule. The Gentiles were accepted to be His. “But as many as received him, he gave them power to be made the sons of God, to them that believe in his name. Who are born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.” All are welcome to believe in Him and in His Church. They will be born again of God. And become the Children of God.
Vatican Council II refused to let men enter the Church and drove out many of those who were there. They condemned them to be children of the devil. Throwing them into the exterior darkness where they could not be illuminated by the light of Faith. The Kingdom of Christ was betrayed by His treasonous ministers. In war it is a sin to “fraternise with the enemy”. The enemy has occupied the positions of authority in the Church, turning it into a counterfeit Church, the Conciliar Church. Archbishop Lefebvre admonished us: Any priest wishing to remain Catholic must separate himself from this Conciliar Church. This warning applies to the laity as well. We must have nothing to do with these modern popes, bishops, priests and nuns until they renounce the modernism. Otherwise our hearts will be perverted and we will become modernists. We too will reject Christ as King.
His Mother, the Blessed Virgin Mary, is His Queen. Our Lord has determined to work only through Her. Thus, when we pray the Our Father and say “Thy Kingdom Come” we must follow it with a Hail Mary asking Her to “pray for us sinners” that we might convert and be in this kingdom. In Our Lord’s Kingdom Holy Mary is the dispenseress of the graces and treasures. If we keep Her name always in our heart and on our lips we will remain faithful.
Our Lord Jesus Christ is God
Incense has always been burned to God. The devil wants to claim divine honours so he has his slaves also burn incense to him. Thus the heathens honour their false gods, who are devils, also with incense. The Wise Men recognised that this child was the one true God and came to adore Him. We read in the Gospel “falling down they adored Him”. We also must adore Him as the one true God. The Conciliar Popes, Paul VI, John Paul II, Benedict XVI and Francis have accepted false gods. They have insulted Our Lord Jesus Christ by putting false gods, everyone of which is a devil, on the same level as the one true God. Reparation must be made for these public sins against the first commandment committed by the Vicars of Our Lord Jesus Christ. We must honour Our Lord alone as the one true God.
Our Lord Jesus Christ is High Priest
A priest is one who offers sacrifice to God. Sacrifices in the pre-Christian era foreshadowed and prepared men for Our Lord who offered the one sacrifice pleasing to God that could merit the forgiveness of sins. On Mt. Clavary Jesus Christ was High Priest offering Himself as the Victim. The incense offered by the Kings demonstrated that they understood that He was a true priest who would offer a satisfactory victim to the true God. A victim whose sacrifice would be capable of forgiving sins. He assumed all of our sins upon Himself and offered Himself as a victim to God for the forgiveness of sins.
Our Lord Jesus Christ will die for our sins
Myrrh is resin from a tree as is frankincense. While he was on the Cross it was offered to him to drink mixed with wine. “And they gave him to drink wine mingled with myrrh; but he took it not.” After Our Lord’s death he was anointed with myrrh. “And Nicodemus also came, (he who at the first came to Jesus by night,) bringing a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about an hundred pound weight. They took therefore the body of Jesus, and bound it in linen cloths, with the spices, as the manner of the Jews is to bury.” The Magi offering Him myrrh understood that He would die, for His great cause and be buried.
We know that His death was temporary and that He again rose from the dead to make His victory complete. He was victorious over the devil, over sin and over death, the result of sin. Now those who die united to Christ will rise with Him and share in His triumph over death. Those who die separated from Him by sin will die the eternal death.
His death was a great blessing for the world. It was the hour of darkness and an apparent victory for Satan but ultimately it was his defeat. Satan was defeated once and for ever by Our Lord’s death because Our Lord defeated death by rising again and bringing eternal life to those who love Him. His blood was shed for the “forgiveness of sins.” The forgiveness of sins is an article of our Creed. We believe in the forgiveness of sins. Thus we must never despair. If we have the misfortune to sin we must run to the Blessed Virgin Mary, the refuge of sinners, and obtain through her intercession the forgiveness of our sins. We must beg from her an opportunity to confess our sins and obtain absolution but also have confidence that she can obtain for us the perfect contrition that merits the forgiveness of sins without absolution.
The Magi went back to their own country by a different way
Once we know Our Lord Jesus Christ we must also go by a different way. We must put off the old man a slave to the devil and to sin “And put on the new man, who according to God is created in justice and holiness of truth.” We must leave our vices behind us and become virtuous. The man of sin and we must separate for evermore. We are called to justice and holiness. We must be convinced that God expects that we will live as saints and that with His help we can live as saints. To start on the practice of heroic virtue which is demanded by our times we must put away once and for all our mortal sins. “Wherefore putting away lying, speak ye the truth every man with his neighbour; for we are members one of another. Be angry, and sin not. Let not the sun go down upon your anger. Give not place to the devil. He that stole, let him now steal no more; but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have something to give to him that suffereth need. Let no evil speech proceed from your mouth; but that which is good, to the edification of faith, that it may administer grace to the hearers. And grieve not the holy Spirit of God: whereby you are sealed unto the day of redemption. Let all bitterness, and anger, and indignation, and clamour, and blasphemy, be put away from you, with all malice. And be ye kind one to another; merciful,
forgiving one another, even as God hath forgiven you in Christ.”
Let us pray to the Kings that we may always adore Our Lord Jesus Christ and love Him as Our Lord and Redeemer.
